I bought 12 3 inch blocks to lift the body lift on my 84 2 wd.
My question is will I need a steering shaft extension or will the shaft telescope enough ?

Thanks
Frank

Why didn't you just buy a kit for your truck?

IDK about old models like yours, but on at least 98+, it's REQUIRED to run a steering extention. It doesn't extend far enough.

Well the fact is I just bought spacers and I had bolts already so I said what the he77.
I'm building my own bumpers and making a custom Shifter using the rod from a mid 40's dump truck(very long) so I didn't think I needed a kit. I'm into the lift 12 bucks so far...

Where did you get 12 blocks for 12 bucks? What are you using for blocks?

REDRUM: Gen 1/2/3 bodylifts are significantly cheaper than 98+ lifts. Still havn't a clue why. Never $50 that I've seen though.

I got the blocks at a swap meet...6 are 2x3 and the other 6 are 3x3....

I guess I need a extension or I'll have to split the shaft and weld a sleeve.
