ya i dont think jegs sells ford small block to ranger/broncoII adapters

ok ok my bad guess i didnt look hard enough.... how are those supposed to work compared to the advance adapters ones?

wait for someone else to chime in. i only know how to search. as you can tell by my profile. i defy the right way of doing things. lol

the only local parts stores i have here are advance auto, cap, napa and bond auto none of which have "Adapters" for a 302 into a ranger

:nono:That's because you don't need adapters. If you had taken the time and effort to do some research, you would have known this already. Better just stop now with a swap, otherwise you're going to end up with an engineless Ranger sitting in your driveway.:shok:

He is saying what Pete and Teddy are saying...............Read the Tech section it will help you a lot with your shopping list, and save you some bucks.
I don't care where you buy the parts or "Adaptors"......It's not just a bolt in deal.

the mustang mounts will they work for a 2.3L ranger? cause the v6 and 2.3 have different motor mounts

Yes, it's the same crossmember in the Rangers (they may differ 2wd/4wd, don't know). The 302 block has two bolts per side that face straight down. The crossmember is on an angle, the 'Stang mounts are on the same angle. Drop the engine in with the mounts on it, look to see where they contact the crossmember, then pull the engine up and drill the crossmember. It's very simple.

From what I heard, and I have no first-hand experience, some of the swap mount companies require the same procedure, drilling new holes. So they may not make it any easier.

the drilling isnt a prob.. the cost is money is really tight for me right now
