I think I have most of the info I need. Bought the vert motor mounts and the double hump oil pan. Here is my question. I guess I got lucky and bought the 5.0 with the gt40p heads. I know overall it is similar to a 95 cobra. I have the engine on the stand. What cam do I put in it to wake it up? It is going to be fast anyway, but, while I have it apart I would like to make it a little better!
Cams seem to be a very conflicting subject every where I go.
I will be running the stock auto tranny that came with the truck along with the computer. I will also be swapping the rearend, 3.73 L/S. Daily driver, not a trailer queen! BTW the truck is a standard cab Splash. About the lightest I could find.
Thanx in advance!
Joe

get a good lunati cam. i swear by them. i would also recommend crane cams. they have a great rep. i would steer you away from comp though. they dont make good power. there more for sound than anything.

If you are using the Explorer computer, they don't like cams with a tighter LSA of 114 degs. there are ways around it but fair warning. Also, Crane Cams is not making automotive parts right now, they got sold in April/May to a motorcycle parts manufacturer.
