Ive got an 89 Ranger Custom 4x4. Thats what the emblems say "Ranger Custom" Its a standard cab short bed with a 2.3 and had a 5spd but now has a 4spd. Ive owned it since 1998 and have only ever seen one other truck with the same emblems, I cant even find them to order. Has anyone else ever seen the "Custom" package before??

I have a set sitting on my tool box! :D and a set of XLT ones too...I am thinking I don't need the custom ones, they are still in decent shape. Are you looking brand new or just something to replace them?

they came off a base model 2wd 90 2.9 x-cab....most of the time the custom was used for base model trucks...no accesories, bench vinyl seat, 5 spd....so it's all just a plain jane package I am thinking....

Would you be interested in selling them? Im definatly interested in the "custom" ones and possibly the xlt ones also.

My 92 Ranger is a Ranger Custom. It's a single cab, long bed, 2.9L & A4LD, 4x4 (manual t-case).

When i first got mine it had a vinle bench, 2.3, 5spd. However its a short bed standard cab, something else i havent seen alot of in older rangers. Which made finding rear drive shafts a pain.

I have one, the truck (or at least the cab) had a 2.3 according the emissions label on the radiator support. It had black grille, a steel roof (which I love) rubber floor (I also love) vynl solid bench seat that I traded for a cloth seat and black plastic window cranks that I traded for crome ones out of my XL parts truck. You know you have a base truck when you are upgrading parts by swapping with an XL. About the only option it would have had was A/C unless some added it. I am extremly suspect of my trucking being a true Custom having the automatic, 4x4, 7' box and being ordered with cruise. I have a build sheet from Ford, and originally mine was a pretty fancy truck.

I have seen a couple 2nd gens, and one third gen, but I have never seen another first, mine has the first generation style badges.

I love that steel roof. I may have to do that to mine instead of re upholstering my headliner.

Both my trucks are Ranger Customs. 92 extra cab s/b 4x4. 2.9 A4LD. Also an 88 reg. cab s/b 2WD 2.3L 5spd. Had the vinyl bench in it when I bought it, steel roof, rubber floor covering, no power steering or brakes, pretty much the perfect truck IMO.
