New to me-'94 Splash

Just inherited my fathers Mint bodied,84,000 mile '94 electric blue small cab, stepside box Splash. And have a few bugs to work on.

Here's a few quick general questions.
Anyone know the fuel tank size? The gauge does work. Are the sending units know for going out,or is it normally a ground/connection problem? :icon_confused:

Also,Does the Ranger's heater core tend to load up and plug with settlement?Or the heater control valves go bad? :dunno:

This one has very little heat coming thru it. I know the old Blazers use to get loaded with almost mud after a summer of no flow going thru them. Thanks

Also,were's the best place to get BODY BUSHINGS?

my gas gauge hasnt worked in months lol. i just filled up the gas tank and filled up a 5 gallon and kept it in the back til i ran out of gas and kept track of how many miles i get to a tank. but those fuel pumps are easy to replace bc you can take the bolts off the bed except for the last 2 by the tailgate and get a floor jack and a 2x4 and jack the bed up so you can get to the top of the tank.

for the heater core i had my water heater deverter (sp?) valve go bad and i wasnt getting any heat out of my vents. so i replaced it (13 dollar part) and got full heat again. both very easy things to replace.

i had the same problem and what it was that the float had rusted out and filled up with gas so it doesn't float and don't try to braze its like 26ga steel and will melt with to much heat and i think you have a 17 gal tank i think and i just replaced the float with a foam one off my jeeps sending unit but just make sure that its same length as the stock one other wise your gauge will be off!!!!!!!!!!!!

Finally had some time to work on it some,Flushed the heater core,It took about 10 minutes of flushing each way to get all the settlement out,but now have great heat.

Really nice truck love the color!! I have a 94 2.3 and I have bad grounds going to the fuel pump which keeps it from starting. Coincidence or common prob? Not sure..

Oh and I found that the best place to get body bushings and mounts was from junk yards. I had my dad send out a complete set of mounts and bushings off a truck from a junk yard in cali. Mint condition. And dirt cheap.
