Do you want to move them up or out?

Both have been done before. Search.

I am going to move them down and loose the 1" spacer on the bottom when i cut off the stock shock mounts and use a shock mount brackets for an f250. What does moving them outward do for me?

he is talking about moving them farther from the frame if you are doing a SAS with a full width axle

That's an awful lot of work when it would be easier to purchase a longer spring....
Longer springs will lend themselves to more suspension movement, thus requiring the longer shocks and f-250 towers.

x2. Don't move them down. Get longer springs instead.
There's also nothing wrong with keeping the spacers...
