OK I need some help from some experienced Manual Transfer Case guys...

Is there anyone out there with one of the rare 5spd 4x4's with the manual transfer case that did a 3in body lift? As far as I know there isn't an extension made for the manual transfer case because they're rare. Does anyone know of someone that makes a 3in extension for the manual TC or any kind of extension at all?

Right now, I can only shift between 2WD and 4WH! Thats it, no neutral or
4WL on the TC. I know the problem is because I raised the body 3inches and the Shifter on the TC was lowered now I don't have the clearance to shift the dang thing!

Has anyone out there had this problem with their manual TC or know how to fix it?????????????? PLEASE HELP!!!

Thanks in advance,
- Riley -

sounds simple enough. cut till you have the clearance that you need.

didnt know that the latemodels had a manual transfer case option.

edit: this is unless you are concerned about how it looks. if you are, then you can probably find another shift boot to make work with it.

i have a 4" lift and i am having the same problem. my manual shifter on the TC wont go back far enough to stay in 4L. so I will be cutting whatever is holding me back from shifting properly into 4L, 4H, 2H and N all work fine though.
Just found this out today while pulling the neighbor out of his back yard.
Granny would have been nice, my Clutch stunk a little and i stopped as soon as i felt it slip.

yea, just pull the boot off and cut back enough of the carpet and floor plate to get it shift fully back. There should be enough extra coverage of the boot and plate to still cover what you had to cut.

i pulled off my boot today and the rear of the notched pattern for gear ratio selection seems to be too far forward, so i will also be tinkering with that, the TC will go into gear but pop right back out like its being pushed.
i think it should be fine with a little finessing of the metals is all.
