well, my rear end is going out. i have an 85 ranger with the 2.8. it has the 7.5 rear axle in it, but its starting to go out. i would like to put a limited slip in, but im wondering if the axle would be able to hold it?

ANYBODY PLEASE HELP!!!:headbang:

Try to find an 8.8 L/S rear end. Bolts right in if you get it from a Ranger and if you get it from an Explorer then you will have to relocate the spring perches to the top of the axle due to the Explorer have a spring under set-up.

If you're only running 31's the 7.5 should hold up just fine with a l/s... 33's would pry be fine as well.

But a 8.8 would be worth it imo...
