I get this code on my 93 Ranger, no check engine light but it keeps giving this code. The book says its a fuel pump secondary circuit failure. Not sure what that means?
Anyone dealt with 542 EEC IV code?

Have you pulled out the fuel pump fuse recently? When I pull the fuse and run if to get the fuel pressure out of the rail it will set that code.
No, but come to think of it I did use a jumper ground wire from the battery to the EEC test port to run the fuel pump. I bet thats what did it, damn I thought I was on to something...Thanks for the reply...
