can anyone ID this trannsimission from pic?

I have no idea what year/model it came out of, I found it with a basket case e150 van...but I also found chevy parts so anything goes.

If anyone can help me ID this I would appreciate it.

As a side question, when you purchase a rebuilt transmission and they want a core, does it have to be the same type transmission or will they accept other makes?

I will be buying a rebuild C6 in the future, and want to use this as a core, if its a C6 or they would take it anyway..

i doubt they would expect any other tranny as a core besides the sameone there building you.

Just in case you didn't already know, the c-6 came with different bellhousing patterns for different engine families.
That one came from a small block 300, 302, or 351w.:icon_thumby:
