PM i got today...why does this scream scam to me again...

Hello

I am interested in buying the stock ranger transfe that you have placed for sell now, and I would want to enquire about the present condition of the above mentioned, as well as some detail about you. I expect this timely enough.

As for the payment, I would need you to get back in touch with the last asking price as I will be paying with a certified cheque.

Lastly, please forward to me your full company's (or house address, telephone and fax) details as I will subsequently prefer reaching you through these facilities.

Yeah that sounds just a little bit like a Scam to me...Do you even have your truck up for sale?? Don't give him any of your info...I'd be like Cash only for my truck (if you are even selling it)

I got something like this off Craigslist the other day.

DUDE i got the same thing from the say guy about a dana 35 front end.. first thing i said was wow he wants a lot of detail.... doesnt sound like a normal trs reply lol
 
i knew it was fake. ive been getting emails like that for years. plus ...nobody ever buys anything off here..lol
 
Sounds like he is planning on doing a bit of phishing before "paying" you
with a certified (nigerian?) "Cheque".

I'd take the word "cheque" to be a major warning sign.

jim, the pm i got was from mamalla but in the pms bottledgt an i received the wording was the same an they both signed by a raymond griffiths
 
i get scammers on craigslist all the time! I think a mod should delete those 2 scammers in the above posts :icon_thumby:
