Can two 10's beat two 12's

So i was wondering if it was possible to beat 2 12's with two 10's. I know it depends on a lot of factors like boxes and other things but i'm just wondering if it is possible. THANKS!
 
yes it is...depends on wat subs, how much power, wat size box, WAY too many factors but just go search on youtube DC LVL5 10".
 
short answer is yes....


it all depends on the box, quality of the tens, exactly what everyone will come on here and say. it's a "depends" question.
 
I have a single 10 kicker cvr and it sonds better than my friends el cheapo no name brand 12".
 
ive personnaly heard 1 jl10w7 hit higher dbs then 2 12s so yes its possiable but it has to do with way to many factors.
 
agree with them but a basic rule of thumb is 10s hit a wider range of note and 12s are louder. but again a million factors play in that could totally disprove that rule
 
X2 when everything is the same. There is no replacement for displacement.
 
ive heard one 10" kicker square hit harder with a broader bass range than 2 12 in sony explods(with the same amp too)
 
sony explodes for the most part are garbage, imo. sony makes some decent stuff but you cant buy it at walmart you have to order most. kickers square subs have a greater surface area allowing them to move more air for the same size sub. the downside to most entry level subs is the minimal amount of excursion they have or lack of ability to handle enough power to move themselves. this is where higher end subs get the advantage.
