Okay, I am finding myself puzzled with my 1990 2.9L auto Ranger. It cut off the awhile back as I was pulling out of my driveway and I noticed it had a CEL. Upon it turning off, I tried to crank it back up and it started and ran for a minute then died again. Since then it will only turn over but not start. It still has a CEL on and I have tried pulling the code(s) with testing KOEO. But I am not getting any blinks so no readings. I am getting fire at the plugs and plenty of fuel at the rail. One other thing is that the Fuel pump runs and primes once you turn the key on but still continues to run after it primes. I have checked the EEC relay and it was fine. Could the computer be bad even though I am still getting fuel and spark? Any ideas guys? I need to get this truck fixed asap but I am baffled at this point. Any sensor that would be keeping it from starting?

check actual fuel pressure...it can have to much pressure too.

go over all the grounds & connections...make sure they are good.

Everything with the fuel pressure seems fine and all the grounds seemed to be good too. Any other thoughts?

Are there any sensors that could have went bad, causing the truck not to crank that wouldn't show up while doing a KOEO check to pull codes for the CEL?
