I am trying to minimize future problems I will inevitably have with my v8 sawp in the near future. I have a rather unique arrangement, and would like to see how the exhaust and steering are in relation to the frame.

I have a 41 Ford Truck body on an 87 ranger chassis and since the engine bay and body is quite different I think I may have some problems in these two areas.

Thanks for the help.

Boy you really asking off the board on this one. Best I can do is point you to DoorGunner who did the '37' glass body on a Ranger frame.

I know what you're thinking, but yes, there really is a Ford Ranger under there.

Owner: Doorgunner
Vehicle: 1989/1936 (1989 chassis and drivetrain. 1936 fiberglass body/metal bed)
Engine/Transmission: Ford 2.9L V6/Automatic
Suspension: Lowered Ford Ranger

I would say if you are using a Ranger frame that you would have the same clearances as the rest of us. The motor mounts to the frame and the steering box mounts to the frame. Thats if you are using the Ranger steering.

'97 Ranger 2wd, Ibeam suspension. Mustang mounts (actually from Lincoln Mark VII LSC, same p/n as Fox vert, Mustang coupe '94/'95) Shelby Tri-Y headers for '65-'70 Mustang.
Clears frame, steering, starter with no issues. I installed them with engine hanging slightly above the crossmember.
