Quick Radio Question

Hey folks! This question may seem a bit dumb but it has been driving me crazy. Sometimes when I shut the truck off and remove the key, the radio stays on until the door is opened which is just great. Other times when I shut down and remove the key, the radio turns off.

My question is: I don't appear to be doing anything different. Why does it stay on sometimes and other times shut off?

sometimes mine stays on if i turn off the truck and don't turn the headlights off.

i assume it's because the headlights still draw power from the battery (since the alternator isn't functioning at this point). once i turn off my headlights the radio turns off immediately.

is it something like mine?

Maybe One Of Your Wires Is Hooked Up Wrong?

Thanks for the answers but the wiring's fine and the headlights are off. It's probably something painfully simple but i wondered if anyone else had experienced this.
