Finished replacing leaf springs, shackles & hangers
Just finished replacing my rear leaf springs, shackles and hangers. Originally I was just going to replace my leaf springs. The driver side one was broke but after further inspection all of my hangers and shackles were shot. I knew I was going to do this job myself but out of curiousity I called a local suspension shop for a quote. They came back with a price of $1025. I did the job for about $480. Here is a list of what it cost me:
Leaf Springs - $240
Shackles - $ 60
Front & Rear Hangers - $ 125
U Bolts - $ 40
Hardware - $15
For Hangers
(14) 1/2 x 1 1/2 Gr 8 Bolts
(2) 1/2 x 1 Gr 8 Bolts
(16) 1/2 Gr 8 Locking Torque Nuts
(12) Large Dia Gr 8 Flat Washers
(20) Small Dia Gr 8 Flat Washers
For Springs/Shackles
(6) 9/16 x 4 1/2 Gr 8 Bolts
(6) 9/16 Gr 8 Locking Torque Nuts
(10) Large Dia Gr 8 Flat Washers
(2) Small Dia Gr 8 Flat Washers
