I guess talking about throwing in a 4.0 finally made my ole 3.0 mad. Omw to a buddies house about a half hour ago it started missfiring a little bit, then all of a sudden i got a big whiff of coolant, then about 10 seconds later i look down at the temp(aftermarket) and it was clear up to 230, so i hurried up and through the heater on full blast, helped a little bit, but then started missing even more, looked down and bang it was up to 250 and climbing and the heater was no longer blowing hot air, luckily i was only a few miles from my parents palce so i hurried to try and get to their house, it would barely climb the hills on the backroads to get there. Luckily i made it there. By the time i got up their driveway steam was billowing from under the hood, popped the hood and what do i find....coolant EVERYWHERE. So, i guess its time to me to hurry up and throw the new clutch and slave on the 4.0 and drop it down in there, a little sooner than expected but the ranger is my workhorse, i drive it everywhere, sucks it finally quit on me. Oh well i'm 4 litre bound!

Well, this is the second motor, it came out of a wrecked 92 2wd and i believe the mileage was 90k. My original motor had around 145k on it before it died, and ive got 156k on the clock right now so i would guess a little over 100k miles on this motor. michowski, i actually have 2 3.0s heh, both would be complete from pan to intake. but these would be pick up only items as i will not ship them.
