I stripped out the rear end in my ranger. What problems would i run into if i swapped the 4X4 rear end out of my buddies 4.0 into my 2.3 two wheel?

What year is your buddy's truck?
Regardless, it should bolt right in (assuming your buddy's is also a Ranger), but the axle could possibly be a slightly different width depending on year.
