hey well i've got the 4spd standard thats in the truck right now with a blown reverse gear(83' ,2.3L by the way) anyways i knew this when i bought it, i've got an M5OD out of an 89 with the 2.3L which i thought was fine but turns out its got a blown 2nd gear so i have to get one of them fixed, for sheer ease the 4spd would probably be easier, and i've heard rumors that its stronger then the M5OD
any comments or suggestions would be great?
either way one has to be rebuilt and i'de rather build the better one, oh and its going to be a pure trail truck so top speeds don't matter to me
thanks

no helpful advice but i'm about to blow the 1st/2nd syncro in my m5od for the second time. i don't know if the other one is better or not though

well seeing as no one else is replying i'll just go with the 4spd, it'll save me a bit of hassle and hopefully its a bit stronger
