title says it all... took the truck to get it alligned today and afterwards took it home and noticed a HUGE drop in MPG, hubs and rotors still red hot as if the front breaks were dragging....

i think my calipers are toast.

had the allignement shop check the spindle nut tourqe and bearings, both were still in great shape...

Ok you should try to pry the piston back in. If it does not move, loosen the bleeder screw on the caliper, if the piston will move in now it's the line not the caliper. Also check the slide pins, make sure they are free..

yeah i pulled the calipers off and was able to push the piston back in with ease, i just lifted the truck and was to stingey to get some extended lines, i havent had a chance to inspect them but im positive they are the culpret.

I had the exact same problem - It turned out to be the o-ring seals on the calipers. I could push them back in, but it wasn't easy enough to keep them from dragging on the rotors in normal operation. At first I thought it was the flex hoses - wasn't. I ended up replacing both front calipers and problem solved. This is apparently a pretty common problem.

well thats no bueno.... well i need new flex hoses anyway... i plan on putting them on tommrow.. it doesnt make sence that right after a lift both seals would go out on the caipers... but you never know how quwarky thease things can be

got the extended brake hoses on there and its working fine now...so far.... =0
