I'm aware that the 4x4 RCD lift kits have been discontinued, but I found one remaining kit for sale. :yahoo: Before I spend well over $2k for this kit, does anyone know exactly why the kit is intended for 1998-2002 rangers? What modifications would I need to make in order to make it work on my 2005 Ranger FX4??? Thanks guys!

You'll need to downgrade your front rotor size to rotors off an '02 and older. After that, it'll bolt right on. In '03 Ford upped the size of the rotors. RCD didn't do their R&D right, and don't accomidate both rotor sizes. Superlift, however, has dual holes to mount the caliper to on their knuckles, you can run either rotor size on a superlift.

But before you do, have a fab shop reinforce the triangle differential drop bracket....thats the biggest downfall on the RCD kit....un-reinforced 1/4" flat plate like to break in half and it'll take out your driveshaft with it. Might as well upgrade the coilsprings in the kit too....the ones that come with it sag to the bump stops in less than 10,000 miles. Get yourself some 750lb coils.

So where would I get those coils?
