OK guys i have tried several different ideas and so far i have not found one subwoofer setup that will allow me to have the seat all the way back. So i had an idea about taking the stock 6 x 8 speakers or buying some 3 way 6 x 9 speakers and mounting them in a box behind the seats then hook them up to my amp. I listen to country and classic rock so i dont need a lot of base just good clean sound. Is there anyone who has tryed this or has any input on if this will sound good or will it sound like crap. Any suggestions will be appreciated!!

I'd upgrade the front & back stock speakers first. If you haven't done that already, maybe that'll be all you need. I listen to the mostly the same music, and although I'd like the thump thump when an appropriate song comes on, it really rarely happens and that kept me from getting a sub.
Maybe put buckets in you truck or cut the 20% section from your 60/40 setup and put a couple 10s between the seats.

if you run a super cab theres a box on ebay i got for 99 bucks for our rangers, i am able to recline all the way back and enjoy my system.

a small 8 in a wedge shap box will fit just fine.

Check into 6.5" subs from Tang Band or JL Audio. I have a prototype TC Sounds 6.5" unit (never made production) that models out just sick in only 0.4 cubic feet. I've used the 6.5" neodymium Tang Band in my regular cab (in a console between bucket seats). It gets unbelievably loud for what it is.

I have a box design for it as well, if you have bucket seats.
