how much work is involved in swapping in a 1985 Bronco 2 axle, into my 1996 Ranger?

The spring perches need to be cut off and relocated and the flange yoke will need to be changed to the small pattern.

Is this a front or rear axle?

Why? Either it's a 7.5" (which one from a Ranger will fit much easier) or a D28 (which I wouldn't advise to keep in the truck in came in)...

Fair enough. Oh, he also didn't say weather or not it was 4wd or not.

Just trying to give the guy a specific answer. I don't know his skill level or his extent on part swapping knowledge.

Its the rear axle I'm thinkin bout swapping, an 85 Bronco 2 into a 96 ranger. relocation of the spring perches? horizotally on top of the axle? the axle is a 7.5 inch with 4.10 gears and a Locker. the flange yoke does look different since the b2 has a smaller diameter drive shaft.
