He had a ranchand style bumper the let him run up the snow bank then when he tried to back out the lip of it cought the snow pile.
Camotanker's truck is absolutely sick.........
and you guys are right, a ranger would pull it out, but a ranger in the same situation would be utterly helpless as well in which case....... he would pull you out.

No kidding eh? I like the guy's response. "No, no it's not. You put on a little pressure and tug. Pulling is one thing, driving 20 in reverse is another" That was an epic fail of a recovery.

What an idiot.
It looks better without the bumper though, if he didn't fawk his frame over.
But then again, I'm a fan of small pre-runner bumpers.

It makes me wonder....
If he slowly backed up just until all the slack was out of the strap, and then tried to pull the Ram out, would he have been able to? In my limited experience tuggin' stuff with the Ranger, I wouldn't think so. Not that the Ranger doesn't have the power to do it, but it just doesn't have the mass. My guess is it would just sit there and all four tires would dig to China.
That's what I have done anytime I have pulled something. At least try to simply pull it first, without jerking it.
If he would have left just a few inches of slack in the strap, and then gave it a little gas, he probably could have done it. True, the guy shooting the video didn't know he was going to be such a jackass, but he still should have schooled him on how to do it first. And if this idiot had a rear frame mounted hitch and just chose not to use it, he's that much more of a jackass.

Well there is a difference between a firm tug with maybe >1 ft. of slack and 20 frickin metres. Just a pull from taut might not have worked so you tug from 6 inches or so.
He had a ranchand style bumper the let him run up the snow bank then when he tried to back out the lip of it cought the snow pile.

Well, my B2 would not be stuck in that parking lot. Those fat pig Dodges are ground magnets.
And yer buddy could benefit by spending some money on a gym membership. I hate to see people that young, that heavy. Seriously, he'll have 20 less years to spend at the truck pulls if he doesn't slim down a little.

He's not my buddy......... I used to run in the diesel venue pretty hard, but I know the truck from different shows I attended and people I've spoken to... he's on another forum I'm a member of as well. I should hope you don't have a sled pulling weight rack on a B2. That'd get you about 6 feet.
I'd say he can weigh anything he wants, he wasn't that heavy.... you really think all ranger drivers are healthy and fit??
btw: why such animosity? it's clear why he's hung up, it's ice.... nobodies impervious, and then you attack a mans weight? pretty childish........ and kind of creepy. Maybe he needs to do some bun-crunches too or something?

I think this kid won the Noble Prize for Idiocy I think. Lets drive back fast as possible with a heavier truck on the front bumper. EPIC FAIL.
