i have a 94 ranger xlt with a 4.0l v-6 what would be the easiet and cheapest way to convert it to a v-8

v-8 swap

Isle 8 at Giant Eagle

Really though I would go 5.0 swap.

Buying an F150? seriously I don't see the point of putting a v8 in a ranger.

yes, yes I am. I used the "new post" feature . oops

From looking at what you now have, just imagine you've got TWO 2.5L engines under the hood. :yahoo: That answer your question ? You've now got half the power we do.

lol yes I understand the potential for power but after all the costs and labor to completely rebuilt your mechanics with V8 stuff why not just buy an f150?

Let me think for awhile ----- Trucks paid off, I like it. Can do the later swap for under $2500 in two weeks. Why does anyone build a hot rod? Because they can and want to. Don't have to be practical but a want.

My swap was under a grand on my $1500 truck.

Let's do some more math...

302 + Ranger = FAST
302 + Heavier F150 = SLOW!
