i am wanting to get an exhaust for my 2000 2.5 ranger. i would like something that would sound as deep and rumble of a muscle car. i understand that it being a 4cylinder is gonna make it more of a tuner sound. I have heard that someone makes a header for these too? is it worth it? thanks in advance! voice your opinions

I would have to say a flowmaster or a magnaflow .. anything esle prolly wont give it enough rumble and too much throat.

My buddy said his cousin has a flow 40 on his 4 cyl and it sounds great. Not tunerish at all ..

So .. hope this helps some.

Hey bro. I have a 1999 2.5 engine and a magniflow exhaust. this baby roars. I HIGHLY recommend the magniflow. I get compliments about my exhaust sound

Thats good to hear. Ive always noticed magnaflow seemed to be deeper than the flows. Never knew what it would sound like on a 4 banger

I might be getting a magnaflow sometime. haha :icon_thumby:

not totally sure yet, but a good muffler shop quoted my $350 for a flow 40 into duals with stainless tips

About the header, the stock tube manifold is a very well built piece. No point in buying an expensive replacement that flows the same
