That is very very nice!! Makes me want to redo my 80 with the gutless 302, is it all original? besides the gauges,cd player and seats, i love my 80, just i hate the 302 thats in it, even when it was running good it was the biggest turd i have ever owned but i just cant bring myself to sell it, i love the 80s body style, also love the fact that the door locks are on the side of the door panel instead of up top on my 80.

Thanks all.
I gave $2800 for it (My wife thought I was crazy lol). For the last 5 years I had been driving $400 specials that I picked up.
The owner came in to buy a battery for it and said he needed to sell the truck.I couldn't believe the shape it was in but it was 28 years old so I talked myself out of buying it.
I test drove a few other trucks including a 04 F-250 with a V10 6" lift and 38" BAJA Claws that was awesome but going 15K in debt for a truck freaked me out a little.About a month later I called the guy to see if he still had the 81 he did now I do.......lol.

Very clean truck, I wish dad's '80 looked like that...
BTW, 80-81 trucks should have F O R D spelled out across the hood, and without a oval in the grille, so it has at least some very minor bodywork done to fill in the holes.
I found a 82-86 grille on craigslist and stuck on dads because his was busted up, so now it has Ford twice on the front.

Thanks for the info on the hood letters 85.I didn't know they were supposed to be there...lol.
I believe the grill is from LMC.

Yeah, the grille isn't factory. They are pretty easy to change, I wouldn't bother though.
