this is on a 1995 F150 with the M5OD. Some times the truck will shift fine. Other times I have the clutch to the floor and have to shove it to go into 1st gear. I can push the clutch pedal down about 3 inches with truck in gear before the clutch slips. Releasing the clutch it engages about 3 inches off the floor. It is not loosing any fluid. It had a new clutch put in about 2 years ago and my brother in law said that it acted the same before the new clutch. A budy of mine said he had a similar problem in his F250 and repalced the bushings in the shifter. I looked at mine and really couldnt see where they were worn. My first guess is bad slave cylinder but looking for more opinions before I drop the trany.

had the same problem and replaced the bushings in shifter. It didnt help the problem. I also bleed my slave and that didnt help it either

I am currently having the same problem with a 91 ranger. It is not the slave cylinder just replaced mine, problem still happening.

Has anyone tried replacing the bearing/bushing in the crankshaft that the transmission input shaft fits into. If the bearing/bushing was intermittently grabbing onto the input shaft when the clutch was depressed it might explain the symptoms. Just a guess....

Yes, I replaced flywheel, input shaft bearing, clutch plate, clutch assembly, and slave cylinder (with fresh bleed) all with new parts on a 91 2.3L M50D, still having the problem. Next I'm going to try ATF in the gear box. If that doesn't work I'll be droppin my trans, opening the gear box, and probably trying a new set of synchros depending on what it looks like inside. Please let me know if anyone figures this one out I'm running out of money to through at this thing.
