Aluminum Knobs for Heater/AC

I was thinking of making some replacement knobs for my '03 Ranger Heater/AC setup.

Something the size of the OD of the existing Knob, knurled around the edge w/ a slight indent and a marker for the positioning.

Anyone ever do this ?

Also, I have never removed the Heater/AC Knobs before do they just pull off ?

they just pull off in the 1st gen trucks. not sure about the later ones. sounds like you'd have some really great replacements there. good luck with the fab. don't forget to post pics!! :icon_thumby:

yep, they just pull right off.

You know mustangs (90 to 04) had the same HVAC setup as the Ranger, I know it's not as cool as custom but it's a lot easier, you can find aftermarket stainless steel knobs on the Steeda website, just a heads up.

Chk'd it out they look good but I was interested in the full round look.
I have been unable to locate any on the web so i thought I would give a try at making some.
