ok so i read in the tech library about the d44 ttb swap into a ranger.
im interested in this but dont want to shorten the beams but ive been told that this puts the springs on an angle. is there a way to move the lower springs mounts inward to get them to be straight?

It would probably be easier to move the upper mounts outward.
Being that the lower mount on the axle is already angled inward some, you shouldn't need to move the upper out as much as the axle is wider (2" is probably plenty).

how would i go about that? withthe botttom cant i just drill a new hole and move the whole mount over where with the top id have to cut and weld it further out? and apparently according to the tech library its 3" wider on each side

Yeah, but the lower mount on the axle is angled. This means it's fine if the coil is angled slightly, meaning the upper end of the coil does not need to be as far out from the frame as the axle mount is.

Some pieces of 2x4" rect tubing (1/4" thick) or similar can be welded behind the coil mount (or around the frame) to space it out further. You could also swap to F-150 coil mounts too, they stick out a little bit further.
If you use rect tube, just be sure to box up the tube ends to eliminate it from flexing.

To move the lower axle mount inward, you'd need to weld a new nut inside the beam so the bolt can be threaded in, and you'd probably need to reinforce the beam around that area. I'm not sure if the coil will tolerate the added leverage real well, but then again, I've never tried it that way myself. It just seems easier to me to move the upper mount outward.
