I have a leak at the selector lever on the transmission. The transmission only has about 5000 miles on it, but it set for 6+months and the warranty ran out, so I am left to repair it. Does anyone know what is involved in replacing the o-ring ( I guess) where the selector mounts to the transmission housing? Does it simply unbolt and slide out, or do you have to drop the pan? :dunno:

Thanks

There are 2 seals an inner and an outer..the little seal which is an Oring on the small lever or tv shaft is not bad to change but the main shift lever shat seal is a real pain in the butt...the little roll pin that holds the shifter in place is all most impossible to get out and most times cant get it out. To rplace main shift shaft seal pan does have to come off.
