I have a junk 2.3 4X4 tranny(TK-5). And i am hoping to swap the tailshaft onto my 2WD TK-5, in order to keep my 4x4. Ive got the tailshaft case off now, and it doesnt look like im going to be able to avoid taking the whole trans apart. So the question is-is it possible, and if so how do i go about it? If all else fails, i guess im forced to use the 2wd tranny as is, but if there is a way PLEASE tell me.
