just wondering if anyone has done it on a 88 ranger with the 2.0 or if its even worth it... if you know about it let me know what parts i would need and how hard it is to do... thanks danger_ranger88

welcome to the site, and unless you plan on putting a straight axle up front, your gonna have to change engine crossmember. other than that you need a transmission/transfer case for it and the front and rear gearing in the axles have to match
best of luck

It's easiest to find a 4WD truck and buy it... Doing a 4WD TTB swap would consist of pulling the engine to swap out the front crossmember, and swapping in tranny, t-case, and driveshafts...

im not going to do it i was just wondering about it

it would be one thing like said above to just throw in a solid axle and you would need to find a trans and xcase for your truck then it shouldnt be any harder than welding leaf spring hangers and shock mounts and you should be good from that point but i have no idea how rangers only yotas and that is swaping ifs to solid axles but cutting the front 2wd suspension out shouldnt be that hard but if you arent looking to drop to much money on this than just go find you a 4x4 truck and be done with it
