So if I am putting on 2 inch skyjacker coils will I need to put on longer shocks ? if yes why? I dont get it if the shock gets longer when lifted anyway. :icon_confused:

Well, you are moving the lower shock mount father away from the upper shock mount. So you should really get longer shocks. You can get away with stock length, but they will probably top out quite easily. Rancho sells shocks for 2" lift on rangers.

The shock has a compression and extension height. With a 2 inch lift, it could reach the top of it's extension height too easily.
But i also heard that you can get shock extensions that thread onto the top end of your shocks. i am installing 2 inch leveling coils on my '93 now, and i think that's the route i will go because i looked at the Ranchos, and they are not cheap.
