I have a 91 4.0 and still cant decide on a lift for it. I like the price of rc but have heard bad things. I was thinking about 2 in coils in the front. dont know what kind of those either. help

Well I live in Az alot of trails. Not hardcore but mild not real often

I don't really have anything good to say about them.......

If you just want coils that are 2" longer say leveling coils, go with Skyjacker, way better as they will ride and flex better. look here: http://www.trsfabandoffroad.com/products/skyjacker_coil_springs.htm

$137.50....not bad

rule of thumb is if it ISNT Skyjacker then the coils are going to ride rough as Skyjacker's spring rates are lower than most if not all TTB lift kits out there right now.

their full blown lift kits are far stonger (beefier) and longer lasting than anything else out there too so i would say save your money, you get what you pay for. thats if you ditch the leveling springs idea.

or do what i did and piece together two seperate lift kits and spend more money than i should have....i should have listened.

my .02

so would I need longer shocks with the coils and camber bushings? Would not getting longer coils keep my truck from max lift potential?

you could run the stock shocks but i wouldnt recommend it as it would limit your total down travel.

Longer coils AND longer shocks is how to achieve lift AND travel. forgot one of those two and things just dont function well.

If your taking about just coils i can't say much, But i have a complete 4 inch suspension lift from rough country and i have no complaints...holes lined up and such...nothings bent or anything, but i don't wheel to extreme.

I can't speak for their RBV Products, at least yet, but their New Jeep products rock. Their old stuff had its issues, but nearly everything on the Jeep side has been redesigned and is very solid. The only issue is stuff is back ordered a month (and has been since early 2009) because they can't get their suppliers to put out enough to keep up with the demand of their new kits on the Jeep side.
