If it's actually on a truck platform, that's a start. But it simply CANNOT look like THAT......at all.

Thats the worst colarado/canyon ripoff ever. why rip off such an ugly truck and make it uglier

Give me a supercab any day over a 4-door, I don't want to give up bed length.
The suspension from the picture looks like it's from an old Nissan Frontier. Now if they'd only offer a diesel in the U.S.

i hit the "s" instead of the "x". But if they had it with a full bed and the 4doors i like that, at less i could take my wife and kid in it with out being to cramped. and from what they were saying thats not the end product just a start. i hope so.

That is the Asian version. If you look at North American Ford stuff they tend to group visual looks. The current Ranger's nose is made to resemble the F150. The next gen RBV will almost be an F150 look-a-like with the square jaw line, tall bed visuals. Ford isn't one to go off on a tangent (at least not lately) on radical changes to body styles. They want to give us a modern version of the current Ranger. We are the bread & butter buyers. I would guess we'll get standard cab, extra cab & crew cab units. I agree, a diesel unit would be nice but for them to invest in it it's got to make them $$$$.

If you read the artical with that, it metions it looking like a yota but it's just to test drivetrain and motor truck will not look like that.

I'm liking the looks of this. I'd consider owning it as a daily truck.

It looks like a 4 door mule. 99.9% sure that is not the final product. (It better not!).
It has the same front as this mule.

If it is close to the final product let's hope it's Mazda B-series and not the Ranger. Mazda might be making theirs total different except for the under pinions.
I sure do like the looks of that Asian version though. I just find it very hard to believe with all the engineering technology today that Ford can't meet emissions with a diesel engine in the U.S.

Atleast it still looks like it has leaf springs.
Thats a start.
Actually, Jim, that one you posted doesnt look to bad from the front clip back. If they did away with the focus front end it would look good.

Cheesy. It doesn't even look like there's any metal on the front end. The whole "bumper" looks plastic. And those are the most hideous looking wheels I've ever seen.

the one mr oaks posted is what ford sells here in honduras right now, the front end is a single plastic piece, it does have leaf springs on the back, and the 4x4 has auto locks with manual transfer:headbang:

I like the looks of that truck! It has a manual transmission, manual transfer case and a turbo diesel! I'll take mine in black!
