Girlfriends dad gave me a 95 Cehvy Tahoe for free. Needed a new battery, runs like a champ, needs a brake line, the one to the rear blew today, but I'm going to do them all just to be safe. Has 175k miles on the 350, auto, 4x4, power junk, all the goodies. It's going to be my hauler for my fireworks show since it has a V8 and a reciever hitch which is awesome. On to a couple pics:

Sittin on the trailer, body isnt that bad, 80% of that rust is surface, easy fix.

To keep it TRS style, Bowtie gettin towed by a Blue Oval :headbang:

Hopefully that wont happen too often.......:buttkick:

Oh and dont worry, I still have my ranger:icon_thumby:

Nice gift. Those Tahoes are pretty nice, especially the 2 door models.

Her dad thought the alternator was bad. That didn't seem right because you could jump it and it would start and run and drive. So my pops and I went to walmart, got a new battery, popped it in and away she went. So $80 for a vehicle that will be inspectable after we do the brake lines? (My dad already has all the line and fittings and such) Not a bad deal what so ever. I'm already pondering exhaust ideas and it's not even off the trailer.:stirthepot:

He didn't give it to me just because somthing was wrong, he had no use for it since his mom got ill and gave him her suburban. The tahoe was orignialy given to him by his sister so he could slap a plow on it and plow his driveway and drive somthing else besides his business van. Got the burban a couple months ago, and on saturday he said if I can get it out of the driveway by the next friday it was mine. Found a trailer yesterday and towed er home. this week is going too slow, i want to go back to NH and work on it already!

I have an Edelbrock muffler (probably 8 years old now) on mine. I like the way it sounds. I'm not sure if you can still get them from Edelbrock, but look into it. I'm impressed by how long its lasted, considering I plowed with my Chevy prior to it being a wheeling rig/lawn ornament.

I think thats what I had on my F-150 and I liked the way it sounded. I just want a deeper tone, not somthing super loud but I don't like quiet either.

Maybe magniflow exhaust? Thats what I have on m 2.5 ranger. I like it because most exhausts make the 4 banger whine. it has a mean growl(unfortunately not much bite :icon_rofl:). bet it would sound great on a v8

Dad has a single 3" catback straightpipe on his '92 GMC w/ a 350. It really isn't terribly loud... sounds very good in my opinion.

Got the brake line fixed that following weekend that I got it. Had to buy some fittings because I thought we had some and didn't. That friday I bought a temp plate for it, fixed the line and it was good to go. When four wheeling with my cousins on saturday and came back up to maine, and my parents drove it up sunday. Now it sits in my driveway waiting for me to get my lazy ass to the DMV to switch residency and get registered and inspected.....poor thing. Got a couple more pics of it.

Also waiting for my next paycheck to get a few supplies to take care of the surface rust. I have 2 months to get this thing on the road before I move....
