302 swap

im about to pick up a 1994 ranger with a 4 banger and a t-5 trani and i just got a 302 out of a 1988 bronco that needs some tlc but not computer. im thinking of mating the 2 together but i need some advice on what i need to do and if i should go carb or full inj. remember no computer... :annoyed:

... also will the t-5 bolt onto the 302 when its comeing off a 4 banger??

The 94 Ranger didnt come with a T-5 trans. The Ranger uses a Mazda 5speed trans and the bell housing and trans are one piece so it will not work.
I am doing a 5.0 swap on my 94 and I am using all the parts off af a 96 Explorer and a AOD trans. My truck had the 5-speed stick in it also and I am dumping it in favor of the automatic. I am using a 89 mustang computer and wiring for the ease of keeping it fuel injected. I would keep it FI if you have to go thru emissions and if that is not a problem then a carb would be easy to do also. Good luck.

The 4cyl (Mustang, T-birt, etc) T-5 uses a different bellhousing than a V8 T-5. (yes, some people have put T-5's on 4cyl Rangers)

im hopeing every thing gose thro as i hope. i would like to try and bild a rat rod out of her. some steely rimes panded red with the crome senter caps and some white wall tires, but she wont be a good rat rod till she has a pocked and strocked 5.0 iv bin 4 wheeling rangers since i could drive but now i want to go a little faster on the street so y not do it with the worlds best truck, the FORD RANGER. if any one has any good tipes on this ples im alwas up to lern. (as long as its not how to spell)
