There are two varieties of rear 35. c-clip and non c-clip. I have aquired a c-clip axle with a good l/s but the gears ore toast. Will this carrier work in a non c-clip axle? The story is., my son has a jeep (yea I know, no comments are necessary, even though it is impressive off road) and the rear axle is a leaf sprung non c-clip axle and I would like to put the l/s in for him but the axle with the l/s is a coil sprung c-clip variety. I know I could cut off the brackets and convert it to leaf spring but I would still have to re-build it and install new gears. I'm really looking for the quickest route as I'm leaving in ten days for a couple of months and would like to get it in for him before I leave.

it might if the bearings match as does the spline count. this is a better question to ask on a jeep forum. the best i can say is try it and see if it fits. dont forget, you will need to set up the gears again.

Thanks for the reply. I thought someone on here might know. I seem to recall someone asking if they could use a d35 l/s carrier in the front end on a ttb. If it can be used in a ttb then which carrier fits the ttb or do neither on them fit. I do have an axle of each variety here but I don't have the time to pull them apart and play mix and match at the moment. If I don't find a difinative answer before I leave he'll have to wait till spring time. Gears are no problem, I have a big hammer.
