m5od r1 top cover leaking?? where can i get a gasket for the top cover??

The gasket is integral to the brass cover on the right in the picture of those parts. Not sure what the part number is, but that should be what you're looking for.

i mean the big square top gover with 12 bolts in it, that holds the shifter, and those big C gear movers!

it sits in a groove like channel.. the gasket is spaghetti lookin

Gotcha. Definitely a dealer only item. If they have trouble looking it up, I'd PM AllanD - he probably knows the part number by heart.

are you sure its not the shift rail plugs? very common on these transmissions...

if it is in fact the top cover, take it apart and clean it well, then just use some good RTV. it doesn't have to hold pressure so it will be just fine.

i had my trans guy put the metal plugs in before i had him build it.. made sure of that!

im just tired of workin on my truck, i want to have it be reliable for a long time.
if i can find that gasket i would be soooo happy!!
