You'll need a 4wd tranny.
An A4LD is not worth replacing in my opinion. M5OD is the only way to go.
I would regear to 4.88 or an equivalent ratio.

i saw this when it was 4 sale. cool truck dude mud that thing asap. +1 with the not puttin auto back in go 5 speed. much more durable. just make sure the m50 stays full of fluid and your golden!
