idle bobs up and down?? IAC switch? replaced before, but from junkyard twice. frequently dies, roughly every 7th to 8th stoplight, and idles high...

also "baby snot" on oil filler cap..... not a head gasket.. passed compression test with about 122 psi +/- about two psi... intake manifold gasket?? i think so.. would explain the high idle since extra air is entering if im not mistaken...

transmission rocks alot... tranny mount im pretty sure.. how much of a b are they and how much do they cost...

also i wanna get a cheap two inch lift with coil spacers (the F150 factory ones) and universal lifting shackles... would i need new shocks??? and/or an allignment? this thing is expensive!

BUT....

this is my first vehicle/ranger and i was planning on driving until it blew up... but it grew on me :headbang: so i wanna keep it :)

thanks ahead-a-time for the help!!

CLean your IAC with carburetor cleaner and reinstall. ALso clean the passages where it attaches to the upper intake manifold. Set your TPS according to the ohm meter method here in the tech section. There is a faq on the 2" front lift using body bushings, one with VW shock strut pieces. HTH

Could be intake gasket...
