Basically if I don't do a swap for a v-8 I owuld like to rebuild my 4 cylider witch I might add has 301,000 and still going strong. But anyhow I would like to rebuild it and go with a turbo kit does anyone make a kit already for this and has anyone on here done this before. Thanks

ya, they make a "kit"...aka swapping a 2.3 turbo from a mustang, t-bird, etc.

its much more economical to swap in the 2.3 turbo since it already has forged pistons and will have all the required electronics, tuning, piping, etc., compared to "converting" your current engine.

ok cool

Ok any particular place I can find this set-up? How smooth is the swap pertty straight forward? Any and all info is apreciatede I dont know a whole lot about this YET lol. thanks again

you could also go to turborangerforums.com they have all the turbo 2.3 stuff you can ask for. but use the search function over there. they dont appreciate answering the same questions over and over. there are sites that sell turbo ranger parts such as exhaust manifolds, turbos and such. And there are "kits" available, but i would stay away from those. SSautochrome is one. havent heard too much good about them. And spend the money on a decent turbo. if you are gonna run a forced fed engine, put some money into the right parts such as forged pistons(used or not), a good head gasket, cam, turbo exhaust mani, etc....you get the picture. as wicked said, the easiest thing to do is find a wrecked tbo coupe, or mustang svo and swap everything over. that isnt to hard, but building a engine up isnt that bad of a ordeal, just takes time and money:icon_thumby:
