i have a 3 inch pa body lift but no steering wheel extender... i was wondering if i could use it without the extender or if i need it. if i do need it how much is it and where could i find one because i cant find one at all. also is there another way to lift the front of my truck cheap? like shocks or something?

call the manufacturer of the body lift for the steering extender. im assuming its Performance Acessories. http://www.performanceaccessories.com/. its there for a reason and its needed.

IM assuming you are working on your 98 4x4. you can gain a couple inches by cranking your torsion bars. There is varied advise about it. ive got mine cranked all the way and ive seen no problems that have been associated with a t bar crank. try reading the tech article about it here though. http://www.therangerstation.com/tech_library/1998_BodyLift.html

i did the torsion twist but i also put a two inch lift block on the back im just debating wether to put on the body lift without the sterring wheel extender

t cranking

tighten it basically the more you tighten it the farther it pushes the lower control arm down translating into a higher ride stance

mwood do u have any pics of ur truck with the torsion twist? u have 33s on ur truck? im debating wether i can fit some on or not

im running a set of 34 10.50 16 tsls right now but im dropping to 33 12.50 15s to run a set of black Cragers i got for free. check back on this thread tomorrow afternoon ill take some pictures of it sitting still and flexed out. the answer is yeah but wait til wou see some pictures of mine the 34s are a bit close to the fenders for my liking but if you have a body lift already on no worries. im running the 34s on a stock truck all i did was crank the bars. ill post pictures of my 01 in the morning when its light out and ill try to get some of my brother todds 98 hes got 33 12.50s on a stock truck it only rubs when he hits the mud hard

2001 major torsion bar crank stock keys and springs clearing 34 inch TSL Bias ply tires although they are more like 33.5s after using them on the road too much never had a problem with rubbing except when i jumped it into a mud hole to have enough momentum to get out the other side. fot a mostly stock truck shes suprised the hell out of me with the "power" of the 4.0 and pulled some things she shouldnt have out but did it anyways quite\ a few times both on road and off.
