My 94 4.0L v6 is having trouble starting. The engine turns over but combustion just does not start. I've tried a lot of things and the next thing to try is the Camshaft position sensor. I just can't seem to find it on my engine. Please tell me exactly where it is.

try the crank positioning sensor. it sounds like what mine did.

i couldnt tell you where the cam sensor is on it though.

Don't keep throwing parts at it, and list WHAT you have already done.

Fuel, Spark and Air. Which one is missing?

The 93 didn't have a stand-alone Cam Sensor. That function was performed by the dual purpose crank sensor. Suspect 94 is the same.

hey i have a 98 4x4 4.0 and im in the process of changin the cam shaft position sensor on my truck its behind the intake manafold and its not easy to get to at all i ended up takin the intake manafold off to get to it... hope this helps

oh and earl my truck was showin the same problems and i hooked it up on my computer and it said it was the cam shaft position sensor and it is was the problem

I put dry gas in the fuel, replaced the fuel filter, replaced the crank position sensor, checked the battery voltage, and checked all fuses.

the cam sensor is located on the back of the intake where the distributor would be, and yes it is a royal pain to get at without removing the intake manifold. also if you dont need the whole sensor and syncronizer the actual sensor is held in with two very small phillips screws.

gotta love those "smart" engineers who only went to school, but never turned a wrench!!!
