Hello,

Has anyone replaced a 4R44E with a 5R55E automatic transmission on a 2300 cc Lima 4 cyl. engine before? Is it possible? What are the challenges? Anyone? Anyone?
 
Pretty sure they would not even bolt up. Different bolt patterns.
 
Thanks. I hadn't even seen either one up close. I've only seen them by way of a spec sheet which doesn't do much to give a visual comparison. I'm basically trying to find options as I think my current 4R44E tranny may be on its way out.
