Yo,
A buddy and I are going to try wheeling at Tahuya August 29th, if anyone is interested in going, you are welcome to join us. We will be at the safeway at 9. So far it looks like 2 rangers and maybe a toyota.

Me and my cousin might be out there with a Honda Civic that weekend (or at least one close to it). I'm not sure what all we will be doing trail-wise, but hopefully it will not move by the end of the day. And then we'll head back down the trails we went on, in the trucks to make sure we aren't leaving anything behind, but we plan to do that as we go.
EDIT: I will have my Ranger there, if we go.

haha, yeah, we have Matt's trailer, as far as I know. I think it is kinda heavy, so Ross will be pulling with with his Ram, and just taking it easy.
I'll talk to you about it today at the run.
Sorry if I thread jacked.

Are you you guys still on for wheeling?
I might be able to get out of hauling firewood, maybe.
My dad might need my truck, or really need my help over at the cabin this weekend, so we'll see. I'll know tomorrow.
EDIT: We won't have that car this weekend, because of a few reasons, but oh well.

NOPE!!! I've been trying to get both his and my truck out there for like 6 months now...

I wouldn't take the shiney '08 on the real trails out there... As easy as Tahuya is, you can still get body damage (one spot in particular).

Yo,
Yeah, one or two spots, a few more spots too if you think your ranger has the wheelbase of a wrangler and you follow him through the trees even when you know it wont make it, but its a jeep and you have to show him up anyway... lol

Wel whether or not my truck hits the dirt I definately want to check out Tahuya sometime. Thinking about taking the quads out there for labor day... or is it really just vehicles only?

It is actually more motorcycles and quads, than 4wds, in my opinion. There are a lot of motorcycle trails, less quad trails, and even fewer 4wd trials (there is really only one real "trial" it just kinda goes every which way, and then there's a couple hill climbs. In my opinion, Tahuya is more of a play area than it is a trail system (compared to Elbe, Evan's Creek, Naches, etc).

Have you ever been to Walker Valley up in Mt. Vernon? I've had the quad up there a few times but most of the trails are too torn up by Jeeps to take the quad through...

I have, but it has probably been close to 8-9 years, so I was probably only about 9-10 years old when I was there, lol. So, I don't remember too much

Haha... well supposedly the re-groomed a bunch of trails in the last year or 2 but I haven't been there since...

My cousin might want to go with his fullsize dodge (he wasn't originally going to wheel, or even go, but now he might take the dodge on the trails). I told him that there are a few spots that are pretty tight in a Ranger and that a fullsize isn't going to fit very well at all (granted it is a short bed), but he really isn't afraid of body damage, the truck has enough of it already.
My guess will be that he won't be able to make it though (he probably needs to take a trailer back to Cle Elum).
EDIT: It is supposed to rain tonight and tomorrow (50% chance tonight/ 30% tomorrow), so maybe it won't be dusty and maybe there will actually be some water at Mud Lake/ the rest of the trails!!
EDIT2: I'm taking off here in a couple minutes. see ya out there!
