I have a 98 ranger 4x4 with the 3.0 and 5 speed manual. I have a slight fluid leak from the front diff that I just noticed yesterday. Untill I can take the time to fix it (i know that's gonna suck!), I need to make sure I have enough fluid in there, and if not (i'm sure its low now) I need to know where to add more. I got under the truck today and felt all around the front diff but the only thing I could find comming off of it was the breather tube. Surely thats not where you fill it? But I can't find any other place. Nothing like on th rear diff that i can see or feel. Maybe I'm just missing it or I'm looking in the wong place (I would assume its on the top half of the pumpkin)?? BTW - many years ago I did the mod to permanently lock my front hubs, so the front diff is going at all times while driving. Definatly need to make sure shes topped off. Don't need to blow it up! Thanks in advance!

On the driver's side about halfway back, about halfway up, right about in the middle IIRC.

i believe it is still a 3/8" square plug that your ratchet fits in, on the drivers side i believe? anyone else?

I found it guys! Thanks for the help. Now to actually fix that leak.....DOes not look easy!
