i got two question, first i need a new cat for my 92 ranger build an i guess a new stock one is about 300$ or something an i just seen at the local auto parts stores an found a magnaflow OBD II universal cataylitic converter for 99$?. has anyone put one of these on will it still pass e test with that an a magnaflow muffler?

an the other question is on my 92 ranger where the Y pipe joins into one its oval. does ford sell an adapter to bring it back to circle from oval?
 
ok thanks ya i didnt think that a cat was goin to cost me that much when i seen around here them goin for 375 i was like screw that, but i guess its cuz it comes with the adapter an resinator an cat.

Perhaps that fact that they are made filled with a platinum honeycomb type core. It is considered a rare metal, hence the cost.
 
Get a high flow cat, they can be had for the 200 dollar range.
 
cheapo from jcwhitney will do the trick.
