I'm experiencing a new shudder when the tranny shifts into O/D. It goes away when I take my foot off the gas and isn't apparent in other gears. Sometimes it gets so bad that the transmission downshifts, smooths out, then reingages O/D.

Fluid levels are fine and had the tranny drained and fluid replaced 3k miles ago (after replacing bell housing due to previous owner removing seal with screwdriver).

Any thoughts?

Sounds more like converter shudder to me..while driving down the road lightly apply brake pedal which i believe will unlock the converter and see if it smooths out. Either that or you gots a missfire in engine under a load.
